Love was pain and joy coexisting;
it was contentment in lack.

Love was assurance and peace;
true belief and die-hard trust.

Love was rocky friendship;
constantly flowing tears
and pure blood.

Love was strength to push;
a blind eye to failures and weaknesses.
It was fall-outs and makeups;
ever-evolving virtue appreciation.

No! Love was not grudge.
It was never proximity,
and most definitely not sex.
But it was warmth in chilly nights,
and a reason to wake up every morning.

It was beauty in rags,
diamond wrapped in clay
and the little things
that made all the difference.

Love was my light,
and I want it find again.
